Accessibility & Mobility

A smart toilet can make a real difference to daily independence — hands-free operation, no reaching or twisting, and reassuring, tested strength. Here's what to know.

Every Tresani is designed with dignity and ease of use in mind, not just as an add-on for accessibility. Hands-free features reduce bending and reaching, the bidet and dryer remove the need to reach behind, and every model is built to a reassuring, tested standard of strength. Below is honest, practical detail to help you or a family member choose with confidence — and where a Tresani won't be the right fit, we'll say so.

Built for confidence

Features that reduce bending, reaching and twisting for everyday use.

Hands-Free Flushing

A foot sensor or automatic off-seat flush means there's nothing to press or pull.

Automatic Lid

The lid opens and closes on approach, with motion detection — no lifting required.

Bidet Wash & Warm-Air Dry

Removes the need to reach behind or twist — genuinely helpful for anyone with limited flexibility, grip or dexterity.

Wireless Remote & Voice Control

Wall-mounted or handheld, so every function is within easy reach from a seated position — no side panel to lean towards.

Heated Seat

Removes the shock of a cold seat — a small comfort that matters more for anyone who moves more slowly or carefully.

Night Lighting

A discreet, ambient glow that lights the way after dark without needing to turn on a bright bathroom light.

Flexible installation

Our wall-hung models can be fitted at a raised, more comfortable seat height, chosen at installation.

Wall-hung: adjustable seat height

Axia, Alto, Halo and Elevare are wall-hung, mounted on a frame that your installer sets to the height that suits you — up to 560mm from the finished floor to the pan, well above a standard toilet. This is decided at installation, not fixed at the factory, so it's worth discussing your preferred height with your plumber before fitting.

Floor-standing: fixed height

Origin, Nexus and Prime are floor-standing, so the pan height is fixed by the ceramic itself. Prime is our tallest floor-standing model; exact dimensions for every model are listed under "Product Specification" on each product page.

Built to a reassuring standard

  • Every Tresani ceramic bowl is tested to a maximum user weight of 400kg, the recognised industry standard for a smart toilet.
  • Every Tresani seat and lid assembly is tested to a maximum user weight of 150kg — the seat and hinge mechanism carry a lower rating than the ceramic bowl itself, so we list both figures separately rather than one combined number.
  • These ratings apply across the whole range, from Origin to Halo, with no exceptions.

Being straightforward with you

None of our models is currently sold as a fixed "raised" or "comfort height" toilet in the way some specialist mobility ranges are — we don't want to overstate that. What we can say honestly: the wall-hung range gives real flexibility to set a higher seat height at install, every model removes several everyday physical tasks through hands-free and remote-controlled features, and the weight ratings above are tested and consistent across the range. If you have a specific requirement — an occupational therapist's recommendation, a grab-rail installation, or a particular seat height in mind — email us and we'll talk it through honestly, including if we think a different solution altogether would suit you better.
