Sustainability claims are easy to make and hard to stand behind, so this page keeps to what we can say honestly: where a smart toilet genuinely helps, where it costs, and how we design for a long life rather than a landfill.
Water
A wash uses a remarkably small amount of water — warmed only at the moment it's needed. The spray wand draws a fine, temperature-controlled stream for a matter of seconds, and instant heating means no tank of hot water sits waiting all day. The built-in reservoir refills calmly between uses rather than demanding mains pressure on tap.

Paper
The average household gets through a startling amount of toilet roll — and every roll carries water, energy and transport within it. A warm-water wash followed by warm-air drying means most of that simply isn't needed any more. We won't pretend every sheet disappears on day one; guests will be guests. But households that live with a Tresani use far less paper than before — a saving that repeats every week, for years.
Energy
Roughly £50–£80 a year in electricity for a household of four. That's the honest running figure — driven low by on-demand heating (water warmed as it's used, not stored hot), a seat that warms for people rather than for empty rooms, and electronics designed to idle frugally. Built to last, not to landfill
- A ceramic body guaranteed for life. Vitreous ceramic doesn't wear out — which is why we cover it for as long as you own the toilet. The most sustainable product is the one you never have to replace.

Being straightforward with you
A smart toilet uses electricity that a cold ceramic pan never will, and its electronics carry a manufacturing footprint — we won't pretend otherwise. Our case is the whole-life view: modest energy use, sharply reduced paper, water used deliberately, and a product engineered and supported to stay out of a skip for a very long time. Where we can't put an honest number on something, you'll find no number here at all — and as we formalise more of this work, this page will grow with it.
